Dr. Suman Rajendrasingh Lokhande, an accomplished academician and dedicated leader, currently serves as the Principal of Matoshri Gurubasavva Kalyanshetti College, Akkalkot, under the management of Maharshi Vivekanand Social Welfare Institute.

Academic Journey

She began her career as Professor of Microbiology at Shri Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Barshi, where she made remarkable contributions in teaching, research, and academic leadership. She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology with her research on: “Studies on Antibiotic Resistance of Klebsiella Pneumoniae Isolated from Clinical Samples.” Her work is widely published in national and international journals.

Inspiration

Coming from a family rooted in India’s freedom struggle, her father Shri Dattatraya Jadhav actively participated in the independence movement and was imprisoned in Yerwada Jail, Pune. These values of resilience and service inspired Dr. Lokhande’s dedication to education and society.
