Prof. Rajshekhar Pawar is a distinguished academician and an inspiring leader in the field of National Service Scheme (NSS). With his dynamic vision and dedication, he has successfully guided several university teams at the state and national levels, representing Maharashtra with pride.

Represented Solapur University at the National Integration Camp (NIC), Bangalore, leading the Maharashtra contingent.

Led the university team at Kalburgi, Karnataka, showcasing the spirit of Maharashtra.

Took charge of the university team representing Maharashtra at Baramati, demonstrating outstanding leadership.

Honored twice as the Best Chief Officer for his exceptional guidance and contribution to NSS activities.

Recipient of the Ideal Teacher Award from Aadhar Sanstha, recognizing his dedication to education and value-based teaching.

Successfully led the university NSS team to Nagpur, where two students were further selected for the National-level competition at Patna, reflecting his mentorship and motivation.

NSS Camp 2023–24

Village: Maindargi, Tal. Akkalkot, Dist. Solapur | Type: Unfunded Camp

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Matoshri Gurubasavva Kalyanshetti Arts, Science, Commerce Mahavidyalaya Akkalkot successfully organized an unfunded special camp in Maindargi village during the academic year 2023–24. Various activities and awareness programs were conducted for the holistic development of the village and the students.

Major Activities Conducted
  • Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive) – Students actively participated in cleaning the village surroundings to promote hygiene and public health.
  • Health Camp – General health check-ups and awareness sessions were conducted for the villagers.
  • Maternal & Child Health Awareness Program – Special guidance was given to pregnant women and mothers regarding nutrition and healthcare.
  • Jalsandharan Information Session – Awareness about water conservation techniques was provided.
  • Open Defecation Free Village Campaign – Guidance was given on implementing the "Hagandari Mukt Gram Yojana".

NSS Camp 2024–25

Village: Kargaji, Dist. Solapur | Type: University Funded Camp

The NSS Unit of Matoshri Gurubasavva Kalyanshetti Arts, Science, Commerce Mahavidyalaya Akkalkot organized a University Funded Special Camp at Kargaji village for the academic year 2024–25. The camp focused on community welfare, youth awareness, and sustainable development activities.

Major Activities Conducted
  • Soak Pits / Percolation Pits Construction – To promote water conservation and groundwater recharge.
  • Gram Vikas Parishad (Village Development Meeting) – Discussions on rural development initiatives with guidance from Sou. Shambhavi Kalyanshetti.
  • Awareness Against Child Marriage – Programs organized to sensitize villagers about the harmful effects of child marriage and promote education and empowerment.
  • Anemia Testing – Health check-ups for camp participants and local youth to identify and prevent anemia.
  • Special Activity Programmes – Various social, cultural, and educational activities for awareness and development.
  • Street Play on Village Problems & Solutions – NSS volunteers performed street plays (Prathnatya) highlighting social issues and remedies.
